El Paso's most stylish were out on the town on September 8 to celebrate Fashion's Night Out. This event, which is sponsored by Vogue magazine, began in New York in 2009 and is now an international affair with cities from all over the globe participating. The heart of the event in El Paso was Century Plaza on North Mesa Street. Tres Mariposas, Nono's, Al Varela Cosmetics, Agua and Susan Eisen Fine Jewelry and Watches were all open late with special happenings. Al Varela himself was on hand to give out personalized makeup tips, and a Tony Lama boot accented with gold and diamonds was on display at Susan Eisen. The red carpet was literally rolled out at Nono's where they were also celebrating 50 years in business. Dancing models, mini-champagne bottles and an outside lounge made for a hip nightclub vibe. Tres Mariposas was as glamorous as ever with a spectacular Gypsy Jewelry trunk show, goodie bags, a margarita bar, hair dressers from Ana's Hair Salon, and even a tarot and palm reader giving out personalized readings. It was definitely a chic event, and I can't wait to see what is in store for Fashion's Night Out in 2012. ///
